Costa Rica was discovered by Christopher Columbus in the year 1502, in its room trip to the Americas. Its caravels anchored near the island Cariari, in the neighborhood of what today is known like Lemon, in the Caribbean coast. They impressed by the exuberance of its vegetation and by the abundance of the jewelry store and the decorations of gold that dressed the native natives, Columbus baptized this land with the name of Costa Rica.
